Alliance-Kol Yisrael Chaverim
Alliance-Kol Yisrael Chaverim (Kiah) seeks to strengthen Jewish, social and humanist values, by decreasing the gaps in Israeli society, through work in “Shaar” and “Morasha” schools, work with the Center for Jewish Social Leadership: Memizrach Shemesh and the Center for Teacher’s Training “Kerem”. For the past 150 years, Alliance-Kol Yisrael Chaverim has educated generations of Jewish youth in more than 200 schools in Israel and in the Muslim world. Among Alliance’s historic accomplishments are “Mikveh Yisrael” and the elementary and high school network that served as a basis for the Israeli education system after Israel’s inception, Rene Kasen in Jerusalem, Alliance-Ramat Aviv, Kiah-Haifa and the Kiah School for the Deaf in Jerusalem just to name a few.
The Avi Chai Foundation
The Avi Chai Foundation is committed to the continuity of the Jewish people and Judaism, to the centrality of Israel in the lives of the Jewish people. The Foundation has two main objectives: to encourage and cultivate a relationship of understanding, sensitivity and mutual connection between Jews from all streams and traditions. To foster a connection to Jewish traditions among all parts of the Jewish people, to encourage understanding and respect for Jewish heritage and culture, for Jewish law, traditions and values. Memizrach Shemesh is an Avi Chai Foundation initiative and Memizrach Shemesh is majorly funded by Memizrach Shemesh.
The Rashi Foundation
The Rashi Foundation is an independent private fund that is dedicated to assisting the underprivileged in Israel and is focused on the younger generations, and on special-needs populations. The Rashi Foundation cooperates with Memizrach Shemesh in the development of the Social Leadership program for students in Academic colleges through the Katzir Scholarshop Fund.
The New Israel Fund
The New Israel Fund is the leading organization committed to democratic change within Israel. Since 1979, NIF has fought for social justice and equality for all Israelis. We believe that Israel can live up to its founders’ vision of a state that ensures complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants, without regard to religion, race or gender. The Fund supports the work of Memizrach Shemesh’s Rabbinic Leadership program through a pluralism grant.
The UJA Federation of New York
The UJA Federation of New York, works to support those in need, rejuvenates and strengthens the Jewish people in New York, Israel and worldwide. The UJA Federation of New York supports the Jewish Student Leadership Exchange Program between Memizrach Shemesh and the Bronfman Center at New York University through Partnership 2000 and the Network of Pluralist Batei Midrash in Israel. The network is currently led by Memizrach Shemesh’s executive director, through the committee for Jewish identity and renewal.
The United Israel Appeal- Canada
The UIA Canada is an umbrella organization that represents the 15 Jewish Federations throughout Canada. UIA Canada identifies initiates and supports programs in the field of welfare and education, as well as humanitarian projects. These programs influence the Israeli public in diverse circles, from the north to the south, with a special emphasis on peripheral areas. UIA Canada supports Memizrach Shemesh’s student leadership groups in Beer Sheva and in Kiryat Shmona.
