Igal David is a formal and informal educator who grew up in Ramla. He attended the Ben Shemen Boarding School and graduated with distinction. In the army he served as a commander in the paratroopers and after working for a year in construction to help support his family, he attended Hebrew University and completed a Bachelors degree in Hebrew Literature and Bible.

Odelia Karmi, a facilitator in the Department of Jewish Student Leadership at Memizrach Shemesh, is an activist, social worker and educator. She grew up in Shibolim, a moshav in the Negev and went to high school at the Boyer Boarding School in Jerusalem. In the army, Odelia served as a combat medic in the Arava and upon discharge returned to work at the Boyer Boarding school as a residential counselor for 7^th and 8^th graders.

Mirit Haybi Barak is the Director of Student Programming at Memizrach Shemesh. She is a graduate of the Student Leadership program at Memizrach Shemesh and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Hebrew University in Psychology. Mirit is a devoted community worker with years of experience working with youth volunteers in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of Jerusalem. Mirit has also worked with University students and youth from abroad.

Tamar Zaken is the Director of Youth Leadership and the Development Coordinator at Memizrach Shemesh. Tamar graduated from the Joint Program between Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and received a Masters degree in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. Tamar is an informal educator and community worker with experience working in the US, UK and Israel.

Drori Yehoshua is the Rosh Beit Midrash at Memizrach Shemesh. Drori is an experienced educator and mentor, one of the founding members of the Hartman High School and of Memizrach Shemesh. Drori is married to Stacy and has four children.

Rabbi David Zenou is the Coordinator of the Rabbinic Leadership program at Memizrach Shemesh. He was born in France and moved to Israel in 1990. He is married to Naomi and the father of five children. Rabbi Zeno studied at a Hesder Yeshiva for 10 years and is an official city rabbi, certified by the Israeli Rabbinate. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and was one of the founders of the French Responsa website: Cheela (www.cheela.org).

Rabbi Yitzhak Chouraqui is the Director of the Rabbinic Leadership program at Memizrach Shemesh. He also serves as the Rabbi of Yad Ramah Synagogue in Jerusalem. He is married and a father of seven

Mazal Davidi serves as the Office Manager at Memizrach Shemesh. She is married to Yitzhak and mother of Yael and Shimon. Mazal grew up in a traditional family and at the age of 18 became more religious. She is happy to have the opportunity to be part of Memizrach Shemesh and to incorporate meaningful work for society with an amazing group of talented people.
